Payments and refunds

Effective October 14, 2026

This page explains how clients of BLOCK INTERACTIVE, LLC ("Block Interactive", "we", "us") pay their invoices, and how refunds and disputes work. If your agreement with us says something different, your agreement applies.

How to pay

Bank transfer. Send the invoice amount to the bank account shown on the invoice, and include the invoice number with your payment.

Card or bank account through Stripe. Sign in to the client portal, open the invoice and choose to pay. You enter your card or bank details on Stripe's page, not ours, so we never see your full card or bank account numbers. When you pay from a bank account, Stripe checks the account first, usually right away by having you sign in to your bank. If that is not possible, Stripe checks it with a small test deposit instead, which can take a few business days. Our Privacy Policy explains what Stripe receives.

When an invoice counts as paid

Card. As soon as Stripe confirms the payment.

Bank account through Stripe. When the bank payment clears, which can take up to 4 business days. Until then, the portal shows the payment as on its way.

Bank transfer. When the money arrives in our account and we mark the invoice paid. How long that takes depends on your bank.

If a bank payment fails or is returned, the invoice is not paid and is due again.

Fees

We do not add card or bank fees to invoices. You pay the invoice amount, whichever way you pay. Your own bank or card issuer may charge its own fees, for example for sending a wire transfer.

Refunds

If you think you are owed a refund, email ethan@blockinteractive.org with the invoice number and the reason. If we agree to a refund, it goes back the way you paid: card payments to the same card, bank account payments through Stripe to the same bank account, and bank transfers by bank transfer. A refund can take several business days to reach you, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Disputes

If a charge looks wrong or you do not recognize it, please contact us first. Most problems are quicker to fix directly.

You can also dispute a card payment with your card issuer, or a bank account payment made through Stripe with your bank. Those disputes are handled through Stripe, and we respond to them there.
